Broadly, my research focuses on insect behavior, toxicology, and ecology. Using these principles, I create integrated pest management solutions and estimate potential impacts to beneficial insects. Research questions include: How does insect behavior respond and adapt to changing environments? To what extent do conventional control measures for invasive/pest insects also negatively impact beneficial insects such as pollinators, predators, and parasitoids? How can sustainable approaches to pest management reduce these stressors on beneficial insects, thereby allowing for improved biological control?
